Horse Lake Elementary
Three members of the 100 Mile House Wranglers KIJHL Hockey Team visited with students of Horse Lake Elementary this week. Matthew Balderston, Luke McFarlane, and Diego Cazac took time out of their quest for the Teck Cup and their playoff series with the Revelstoke Grizzlies to join our students in the classroom and on the playing field. The players visited several classes, reading with the students in our grade 3/4 classroom, playing floor hockey with our grade 5/6 students, and then playing flag football and Gaga Ball with kids at lunch hour. Having a chance for our students to interact with their idols and be influenced by these role models was truly an honor. Many thanks to the players for taking the time out of their schedules to visit our school!
