Evenings of Literacy at Mountview

Mountview has been host to Evenings of Literacy, where our staff join our caregivers over food, good conversation, and great learning about ways to support reading and writing at home while also taking a deep dive into how kids learn to read and write language. We've also loved having Danikka Murphy from Williams Lake First Nation join us and show the power and influence of story on literacy. Her reading of traditional Shuswap[ stories and legends had the room buzzing!
