Horse Lake Students Observe Orange Shirt Day

After a week of lead-up activities, Horse Lake students observed Orange Shirt Day by first assembling in the gymnasium to learn about the significance of the orange shirt by watching Phyllis Webstad tell her story in a video. The students also learned about the impact of residential schools on indigenous peoples and their culture and identity. Students then left the gymnasium to gathered together in front of our newly-erected teepee in the forest in the spirit of Every Child Matters.
