Indigenous Peoples Day Smudging

During Indigenous Peoples Day, Cataline Elementary students were invited to participate in smudging, as introduced by Cataline Indigenous support workers, Jen Bauerochse and Amy Grieve. For most of the students, this was the first time they had participated in this cultural experience. Students drummed and sang, while learning the traditions, teachings, and intentions of the smudging ceremonies.
