Pre-teaching for Meaningful Involvement in Orange Shirt Day

Director Grant Gustafson worked with Cheryl Chapman and Mike Retasket to create a video for teachers to view with their classes ahead of attending Orange Shirt Day events. Powerful messages about the importance of respectful, attentive listening to the speakers. The video acknowledges the difficulty and emotion involved with sharing and hearing the stories and how to take care ourselves and support others around us. The video highlights the opportunity for students to learn and share those learnings with families and others as reconciliaction.
